  • My first time

During my last workshop with Bob Davis, I meet a lot of great photographers. One of them thought I would be great as a second shooter for him. So yippee, he hired me. Alex Tung is his name and he does weddings on the side. He’s really an engineer by day;) Anyways, he had me help on his e-session. But better then that, he let me actually shoot and pose the couple all by my lonesome. What a cool deal. So these are the shots, I did on my own. In a couple of weeks, I get to help out on the wedding. Caroline and Mike are great…. they’re definitely meant to be!

  • Gotta Love Kids!

So I’ve been pretty busy with work, but I’ve been practicing too. Got the chance to have some fun with TWINS and a little guy named Bodie. With a name like Bodie, he should be surfing in no time.

I thought Bodie’s mom looked like Jamie Lee Curtis. Too sweet!

Here are the twins. Although, one seems bigger then the other one, they’re only a minute apart in age. My kid used to get  hand-me-downs from these two. But now my giant child is out growing them:(  Soon we’ll be giving hand-me-downs to them!

  • Me and the WeddingBee!!

My name is on the Wedding Bee. Thanks to Anita K. Brown aka Mrs. Snow Pea, she mentions many of the great photographers at Scott Robert‘s NYC workshop, plus ME!!! Funny how I found out too. I actually got a couple people emailing me about weddings. They said they saw the shot of Anita and loved it! No, my head hasn’t grown, but it does feel nice to have someone like your work. Also if you didn’t know, the Wedding Bee is a online community of Bride’s-to-be, giving advice and information about weddings. Thousands read this site daily. So with thanks to Mr and Mrs. Snow Pea…here are just a few more shots of the happy couple. They really are the best!!

  • Lisa, Paul and Oliver

Well it’s back to practice, practice, practice. Seems I don’t have a problem finding people to practice on. Lisa and Paul are super couple with the best pets. They were so great in letting me take the time to practice shooting with them. And yes, I’m working on getting paid jobs too. So if any of you out there need a second shooter or just someone to hold your gear, I’m here!!!

I think I’m getting better. At least I’m better then I was when I started. It has only been three months.  I know I shouldn’t be so hard on myself, but when I see great work out there, I want to be one of those great photographers too. Some day….soon :)

  • Golden Gate School of Photography

Class is over and it was GREAT!!! The PPGBA has a bunch of great people and I met a great bunch of them. I have now learned not to be “AFRAID” of using the flash. Not one, not two, not even three!!! Woopee!! I learned tons from Bob Davis He had so much information, my head was on total overload. High speed sync, Rear curtain sync, white balance, gels, snoots…the list goes on.The school doesn’t let us post any of the shots we took during class, but I was playing with my kids, so I thought I would show that instead. They were trying to look SPOOKY!!!

Here’s the class. Do you see me?

  • OK, two entries in a day seems a bit much, but I’m doing it anyway. Ted and Theresa are such cool people and they’re the coolest looking parents I know. Most parents just look like me, ordinary;) These two are a great team of photographers and they really should model too!! Check out their work at Lucid Eyes.

see how hard Scott worked us. I think everyone felt like this;)

  • Scott Robert Workshop and NYC

OMG!!! The workshop was amazing and I met even more fantastic peeps!! I have to say going to one of Scott’s Workshops is like Photography Boot Camp. No sleep. Just shooting and learning all about Scott’s great techniques. I’ll try to post more later int he week, but here’s a little sneak peek…

Thanks to the great models. They all were fantastic and it was great to meet all of you!!

  • Little A

This weekend I got the chance to photograph another little cutie. Little A has the chubbiest legs I’ve ever seen! Babies are the best. And little “A” is having his adoption finalized in June!!!! So exciting. His mom is a public defender, so I don’t think any one will be messing with this little guy, especially since he’s so cute!

  • Kirby is Famous!

My photo of Kirby got picked by Bravo Pups to be on their website. Bravo Pups is where Kirby is going to start puppy class. He needs it. He thinks my shoes and my son are chew toys :(
