Here's a wonderful family of five, I had the opportunity to photograph in the Berkeley Botanical gardens. I know that mom's always worry their kids aren't behaving or smiling when you want them too, but in reality, everything falls into place. Kids are great. Just need to let them set the pace sometimes and the the best shots just come. Thanks to Rebecca, Patrick, Syd, Theo and Oliver!

I've been very lucky lately with all the wonderful families I've photographed. Everyone is just beautiful. This one especially. Two mommas and two kids make this a wonderful family. I was blessed to have the opportunity to capture their adoption day. I've never been to an actual adoption and I have to say it was as special. As special as the day I had my own kids. You could feel the love from all the families there. Each one lined up, waiting their turns to become a family in the eyes of the court.

I gotta say, I've been taking a lot of family portraits lately and I LOVE IT!! Every family is so different. Each time I shoot, the mom always asks, "what should we wear?" I always say, go with something simple that matches your own personal style. This time, the family ended up matching little brother, Henry. Little guys grow like no tomorrow, so whatever Henry's got, that's the best way to go. Plus, this will make a great holiday card shot;)

Snow in Oaktown!!

Looks like we're in Tahoe, but we're in Oakland! Wow, it's been forever since we seen snow like this. I remember is happening once when I was little. Now my kids had a great morning with the snow! We were only a little late for school:)

Little Lloyd | Senior Portrait

Wow, it's been a while, but today was a good day. I had the pleasure of photographing a great guy. People call him Little Lloyd, but the dude is HUGE! OK, not a big as his dad, Big Lloyd, but big for someone to call you little. Congrats to Lloyd for graduating High School and moving on to College! I'm sure he's going to do great, since he's got the sweetest family watching his back. Good Luck at Whittier, Little Lloyd!!

I always make it a point to try to photograph something or someone every week. A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of photographing my niece and her roomies. Now I'm not bias or anything, but the girls are pretty darn cute. Those boys on the UC Campus, better watch out. Here comes a future lawyer, doctor and immunologist... You go girls!!

Went on a little trip to the Academy of Science in San Francisco. I remembered when I went there the first time as a little person. Now that I'm all grown up, I love it as much as I did then. As you can see by this shot, even as you get older, you never lose the love for this place. Do you remember a favorite place when you were young?
